Either ‘ejaculation’ and ‘shag’ meant something very different in those days or Arthur Conan Doyle was writing fanfiction… its actually impressive how far I launched the piece of gum that was in my mouth across the room when I read this. Ejaculation meant shout and shag is a sort of tobacco, I think. But that is hilarious.
